If More Information Is Required

Eve may ask you to provide missing information such as:

  • Matter number
  • Approver
  • Amount
  • Disbursement Code
  • Supplier / Payee

Creating Requisitions with Eve

Eve can create standard Incurred Disbursement Requisitions directly from an email using existing Disbursement Codes, reducing manual data entry and streamlining approval workflows.

Creating a Requisition

When you email Eve to create a requisition, include the following information in your email:

  • Matter
  • Disbursement Code (if applicable)
  • Approver
  • Amount (where required)

Example Requests:

  • Add CF to Matter 26 with approver Sarah Jones
  • Create a Court Fee on Matter 26, approver Sarah Jones, for £150
  • Create a payment requisition using disbursement code CF for Matter 26, approver Sarah Jones, amount £150

Eve will automatically:

  • Identify you as the requester
  • Validate the Matter
  • Resolve the Disbursement Code
  • Validate the Approver
  • Determine whether an amount is required
  • Create the requisition using the Disbursement Code defaults
  • Email you a confirmation

Requirements

RequirementBehaviour
Approver RequiredAn approver must be specified until Custom Approval Workflows are introduced.
Supplier/Payee RequiredThe selected Disbursement Code must contain a configured Supplier or Payee.
Requisition Creation OnlyEve will always create a requisition, even if the requester can post directly.
Cost Recovery BehaviourExisting Cost Recovery functionality remains unchanged.

Learn More

To learn more about requisitions, see Payment & Purchase Requests including:

  • Requisition Types
  • Approval Workflows
  • Anticipated Disbursements
  • Disbursement Codes

Coming Soon

Once Custom Approval Workflows are available, users will no longer need to specify an approver. Eve will automatically route requisitions through the appropriate approval workflow based on firm-defined rules.

Troubleshooting

Works for both Chat and Email.

If Eve doesn't understand your request:

  1. Rephrase your request using simpler language.
  2. Include relevant financial terms where possible.
  3. Break complex requests into smaller questions.

If the issue persists:

  • Contact your Support Team.
  • Always verify critical financial information before taking action.

Eve can make mistakes — always verify critical financial data

Summary

Eve provides two complementary ways to work with Efimis:

Eve Chat

Use natural language within Efimis to ask questions, analyse financial information, generate reports and export results.

Eve Automation

Send requests to Eve by email to perform supported tasks such as drafting invoices, recording time, creating cost recoveries, generating reports and creating requisitions (where enabled).

Both experiences use the same Efimis security model, ensuring users can only access data and perform actions they are authorised to use.

Whether you're analysing information in Eve Chat or automating work through Eve Automation, Eve uses the same Efimis permissions to ensure secure, authorised access to data and actions.
